Yes, the Hong Kong version of the game is now out, and unlike the korean and taiwanese versions of the game, there is no need for any sort of identification number! No risk of international identity theft here! However, only the original three characters are available right now. Not a problem for me, but it might be a problem for those of you who like robot arms or slapping your enemies to death.

After that, you do the normal check your e-mail and click the link thing to confirm. Upon clicking the link, you will be shown a list of games (HK Grand Chase is there too!), buttons below them, and an accept button at the bottom. I'm sure you can figure out what to do here..... (Hint: The game's title is written in english.)
Congratulations! You just made a Gamania account that can access HKElsword! Now here's the bad/annoying part, now you have to download the client.
Now, I am currently downloading the client, going through Hong Kong proxy after Hong Kong proxy to access the faster download, as the normal downloads not only went horribly slow, but also cut off well before they were finished. If I do manage to get the entire client, I will upload it on Megaupload, but if you want to try for yourself and see if you have any better luck, or maybe be a hero and upload it to a non-HK friendlier server before I do, or better yet, ARE in Hong Kong and are willing to help some foreigners get in, here are the download locations:

(Note: In both Firefox AND Internet Explorer, the damn things stop downloading and say they're complete LONG before they are finished for me. Maybe you will have better luck, just be prepared to leave it on overnight.)

(Note: It will not let you download if your IP is from a country other than Hong Kong. You're going to have to find a Hong Kong proxy that works, and will last the entire +8 hours it will still take to download it, or keep on finding new ones when they die out on you. They have a tendancy to do that.)
After you get the client, however you get it, that should be it. Have fun!
Reminder: When playing on foreign versions of any MMORPG, please try to make as little a presence as you possibly can. Don't speak english in public or other such things to attract negative attention. If foreigners are deemed too much of a problem, they WILL kick us out by blocking all foreign IPs.

Go to Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options. Click on the Advanced tab, then select "Chinese (Hong Kong)" for language for non-unicode programs.
